Heeeere's Lily

This is a picture of our angel Lily Maye. She came to us exactly one week early in May, on the same day as Emma Freeman, a first cousin once removed. Lily weighed 7lbs and 13oz, and was 21 inches long! She's definately got the tall genes from her parents. Her dark hair was a big surprise, Mommy was mostly bald until about 18 months, and Daddy had a little light colored hair when he was born, but we were not expecting these long dark
locks! Her eyes have not decided what color they want to be when they grow up, sometimes they look deep blue, and sometimes steel grey. She is experimenting with her voice now and we are loving listening to all her coos and squeals, and even her screams for the most part. She is very alert, always moving her head this way and that to see what's going on around her. We are so in love with her! She is the light in the eyes of her grandparents and family as the first grandbaby for both families.
Lily has already had a few adventures in her 7 weeks of life, the best of all being her first trip to the ocean! We spent a week on the San Diego beach with Daddy's family. She loved the sound of the ocean hitting the sand. When she would get fussy at bedtime Daddy or Grammy would sit out on the porch and hold her and she would quiet down and listen to the peaceful sound of the crashing waves. She had so much fun with all her Freeman aunts and uncles (except uncle Craig Udall who couldn't make it), and with Grammy and Grandpa Freeman. Soon she will begin the adventure of growing and toddling in Kirksville Missouri!
